We love the wheelchair-accessible strawberry picking at Lush Acres Farm in Clinton, SC. It’s about 2 hours from Charlotte, but so worth it for this unique option. They also have animals to visit and kids’ activities like a jumping pillow!

Originally the farm was solely a peach orchard. The building located on our farm in York, South Carolina was used as a peach packing shed in the 1950's and 60's. Weddington, NCThe Hunter Farm is a family-run farm in Weddington, North Carolina. In the spring they offer strawberry picking and fun wagon rides to their animal barn. You’ll want to stay tuned to their Facebook page for official opening information, but currently, they are targeting mid-April 2024 to open for the spring season!

An outing to a U-pick farm can be a great tradition for kids. Freedom Acres Farm is a 5.5 acre farm that grows u-pick flowers, various heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, assorted squash, and a large assortment of peppers sweet and hot. We grow pesticide free vegetables from non-gmo seeds. We keep a list, year-round, of farms where you can pick your own produce, and that list is below. We are a small, family operated Grade A Raw Goat Dairy. We are regulated by the SC DHEC Dairy Division.
